Provider guide

Do my placements have to move if I change agencies?

No. When you transfer to a new agency, your placements stay in your home with you. This is the first question most providers ask, so here is what changes and what does not.

What stays the same

  • Your home and your routines
  • Your placements, who stay with you throughout the transfer
  • The relationships you have built

What changes

The agency supporting you changes. That means a new team to call, new people for licensing support, and new processes for paperwork. It is the reason to choose carefully.

What to expect during the transfer

After the transfer paperwork is signed and submitted, DDD approval usually takes about 30 days. Your placements keep living with you during that time.

At Caregiving Solutions, there is no gap in pay during a transfer, and we prepare the paperwork so you can review and sign it on your phone.

Talking with your current agency

Leaving an agency is a conversation you will have directly with them. Your coaching call is a good time to talk through what comes next.

What if I do not have any placements right now?

Reach out anyway. We will talk through your options and can add you to our waitlist for placements.
